CIRCE Verdejo crafted by AVELINO VEGAS is an exceptional wine hailing from the Rueda DO region, presenting a distinctive Verdejo that captivates both the nose and taste buds. WINERY AND VINEYARDS: Avelino Vegas SA oversees a vast expanse exceeding 600 hectares of vineyards, featuring 90 hectares from ancient vines, some nearly a century old, primarily situated in Segovia, where the winery has been established. These vineyards, often small, range between 1 to 3 hectares, and focus solely on cultivating Verdejo grapes. The maturity of these vines significantly enhances the complexity of the aromas and the structure of the resulting wines. PRODUCTION: The grapes used for this wine are sourced from venerable vineyards in the Segovian locales of Moraleja, Aldeanueva, Quail, and Santiuste, picked by hand at their peak ripeness. A gentle cold maceration allows the must to absorb the full range of varietal characteristics. The fermentation process occurs at a controlled low temperature (12 ºC), after which the wine is aged on its fine lees, contributing to the luscious mouthfeel that it is known for. Visually, the wine exhibits a bright, pale straw-yellow color. Aromatically, it unveils notes of exotic fruits, white blossoms, and varietal characteristics. On the palate, it is both fresh and sweet, offering a silky mid-palate experience with a long, fragrant finish.
